Once your child is ready to be discharged, you will be given postoperative instructions. After you return home, be sure to follow your doctor’s orders regarding diet, activity and medications. Be aware that side effects to medications can occur, such as nausea, dizziness and constipation that occur with narcotics (codeine, Lortab). Please do not hesitate to call your doctor if you have any questions or concerns
